✓ No DevOps-Monk extension collects, transmits, or stores any personal data on external servers. All data stays in your browser.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to all browser extensions developed and published by
Abhay Pratap Singh operating as DevOps-Monk,
including SnapMonk,
HydroMonk, and
MonkTab.
All extensions are built with privacy as a core principle. They operate entirely within
your browser. No data is sent to any external server, no analytics are collected,
and no account is required to use any of them.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect any personal information (name, email, IP address, etc.)
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry of any kind
- We do not share any data with third parties
- We do not upload screenshots, recordings, annotations, or logs to any server
- We do not use cookies or cross-site tracking
- We do not require an account or login
- We do not monetise user data in any way
3. Extension-Specific Data Practices
SnapMonk accesses the following data solely to provide its features:
screenshots
Captured images are stored temporarily in your browser's local IndexedDB while you use the annotation editor. They are never uploaded.
screen video
When you start a recording, the browser prompts you to choose what to share. The stream is processed locally and saved to your device on stop.
tab URL/title
Used only to generate a suggested filename for exported files (e.g. "page-title.png"). Never stored or transmitted.
microphone
Only accessed if you enable the microphone toggle before recording. Mixed locally into the recording. Never transmitted.
HydroMonk stores the following data locally on your device only:
daily log
Each glass you log (amount + timestamp) is saved to chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device and resets daily.
streak & settings
Your daily goal, reminder interval, glass size, active hours, and streak count are saved locally so they persist between browser sessions.
HydroMonk uses only chrome.storage.local
and chrome.alarms.
It makes zero network requests. No external APIs are called.
MonkTab saves your preferences (theme, widgets, todos, notes, world clocks) to
chrome.storage.local
and chrome.storage.sync
on your device. Weather data is fetched from the public Open-Meteo API (no API key, no personal data sent).
Optional YouTube lo-fi player embeds youtube-nocookie.com. No user data is transmitted to any server controlled by DevOps-Monk.
4. Permissions Justification

5. Children's Privacy
None of our extensions knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
No personal data is collected from any user regardless of age.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this
page with an updated date. Continued use of any extension after changes constitutes
acceptance of the updated policy.
